Meet Smilodon

Smilodon was a prehistoric big cat. People often call it a saber-toothed tiger.
It was not really a modern tiger, but it was a powerful cat from long ago.
Its famous front teeth were long and curved, like little sabers.
Those teeth could be about seven inches long, but they were not for crunching bones.
Smilodon is not alive today. That means it is extinct.
