Helping safely

Read-aloud story: Little Helper

Mum looks at the toys on the floor.
“Can you help me tidy?” she asks.
One teddy goes in the basket.
One book goes on the shelf.
Two socks go in the drawer.
Wipe, wipe, wipe goes the little cloth.
The room looks calm and cosy.
“Thank you, little helper,” says Mum.

Simple toddler steps

1. Pick up. Choose one safe toy.
2. Put away. Toy in the basket. Book on the shelf.
3. Match. Put socks together.
4. Wipe. Use a clean dry cloth with a grown-up.
5. Say done. Little helps are big helps.
