Wobble water.

Nia drops in Duck.

Plop!

Yellow duck bobs.

Bubbles climb.

Pop, pop, pop.

“Soup,” says Nia.

One toe in.

Two toes in.

Tiny pink carrots.

Spoon is a cup.

Cup is a scoop.

Scoop-scoop.
Swirl-swirl.

Duck sails round.

Foam slides down.

Knees peek out.

Nia stirs the soup.

Swoosh! Splish-splash!
Nia stirs the soup with a big Swoosh, and the bath splashes everywhere.
Swoosh!

Water jumps.

Bubbles bump.

Duck spins.

Tap-tap, little hands.

Slap-slap, shiny knees.

The bath goes wibble.

The duck goes wobble.

The cup goes glug.

Splish on the bath.

Splash on the mat.

Drip on Dad’s sock.

“More soup?”

Dad blinks.

Nia whispers, “Shhh.”

Duck floats still.

Toes curl under.

One bubble pops.

Pip.
Sleepy sound: A soft duck, warm water, curled toes, and one tiny bubble pop.
