Swirl-swirl.

Duck sails round.

Foam slides down.

Knees peek out.

Nia stirs the soup.

Water jumps.

Bubbles bump.

Duck spins.

Tap-tap, little hands.

Slap-slap, shiny knees.

The bath goes wibble.

The cup goes glug.

Splish on the bath.

Splash on the mat.

Drip on Dad’s sock.

“More soup?”

Dad blinks.

Nia whispers, “Shhh.”

Duck floats still.

Toes curl under.

One bubble pops.

Pip.
